HACSU represents more than 8000 members working in Tasmania’s Health and Community Services sectors.
HACSU covers almost all classifications of employees in Tasmania’s health, aged care, disability and community services sectors, whether full-time, part-time or casual.
Our members include Allied Health Professionals, Nurses, Support Workers, Administrative and Clerical, Ambulance workers, Advocacy and Support Staff, Personal Care Staff, Ancillary Staff, Cleaners, Grounds Staff, Tradespersons, Kitchen Staff and many more.
HACSU also offers free membership to Students.
We constantly aim to improve Members’ working lives by negotiating improvements in conditions and wages, protecting your rights at work and offering Member Benefits that ease cost-of-living pressures.
Our rights at work are again under attack.
Just last month, it became even clearer that the full-scale Productivity Commission inquiry into our rights at work could deliver:
- cuts to penalty rates
- the abolition of the minimum wage
- bring back unfair individual contracts
- even more power to the employers.
The time to stand up and fight back is now.
Let’s march together with our neighbours, workmates, friends and families across Australia at rallies on Wednesday, March 4th.
Click here to download the Launceston poster for the rally at 8.00am in Princes Square.
