HACSU Worksite Committee gives us more Control12 months ago members working at the Roy Fagan Centre established their first HACSU Worksite Committee, believing the workplace needed a stronger union presence. Commenting on the initial results, HACSU Worksite Committee Chairperson, Tanya LaPaglia said the Worksite Committee had "Absolutely given us more control over our working environment." "There is now always someone here on site from the HACSU Worksite Committee people can go to. Before there was only two delegates and it was a bit overwhelming. We've had to fight to maintain our conditions. We can't afford to lose them. Psycho geriatric is often a dumping ground, with no pats on the back." Michael Norris, Deputy Chairperson of the HACSU Worksite Committee says "It's going real well. I have been here for over 4 years and I think things have improved since the formation of the HACSU Worksite Committee. Now we've got everyone covered. People have a choice of who they can go and see." There are nine people of the HACSU Worksite Committee, covering all areas of staff.
