Nurse Re-entry to Practice Program Ready to GoThe RN re-entry to practice program has been reviewed and modernised and is now ready to go. It has been some time since a RN re-entry to practice programme has been available, and the Nursing Board of Tasmania decided the program should be properly reviewed before it was approved for use. HACSU Nursing Industrial Officer, Leanne McDougall, participated in the workshop conducted as part of the review process. Following this, HACSU, along with other review participants, was asked to submit comments and suggestions to the program. All modules for the course were under review. One of the key modules concentrated on a series of clinically focussed case studies, and it was in this area that HACSU made significant input and sought change. Many RN's wanting to rejoin the nursing workforce will now be able to do so through this new re-entry to practice program. If you know of anyone who may be interested, let them know! Queries should be directed to the Office of the Principal Nurse Advisor on 6233 8765.
