RHH gets specialist DEM Orderly Team

RHH now has a specialist Department of Emergency Medicine orderly team, thanks to an initiative of HACSU delegate, Pete Smith, and other HACSU orderly delegates.

The main problems have been that the Department requires orderlies to be familiar with DEM procedures, restricting availability. As well, because of the nature of the Department, not all orderlies like working in this area.

DEM also wanted orderlies who weren't being forced to go.

After lengthy negotiations, a dedicated DEM orderly team has been formed, a move which has satisfied all parties.
