Dental management FROZENHACSU members working in oral health services are becoming increasingly frustrated with the snails pace of management decision making. Following the initial very positive decision to employ a number of additional assistants, management now appear to be either unwilling or incapable of efficiently implementing this decision and other much needed changes. HACSU Assistant State Secretary, Tim Jacobson, said the service may as well not have a management because they appeared incapable of doing the job. "We would be better off with the money currently being spent on management being put into direct service delivery because at the moment management is doing nothing," Tim said. "It is taking forever to make what should be simple decisions about where to place the assistants. Then there are a range of other issues that they can't seem to get to grips with." "If management aren't managing, why are they there?" The Oral Health HACSU Worksite Committee are considering further action if progress is not made on the placement and employment of assistants.
