Pressure’s on at Glenview

In a situation typical of the aged care industry, the squeeze is being put on workers at the Glenview Nursing Home.

Members at the facility are extremely angry and upset over an increase in bed numbers without any additional staff being put on, resulting in an increase in workload for many HACSU members. Of course, no one has been offered a pay rise.

Members believe there has been no proper consultation at Glenview and that the current consultation mechanisms are not working.

HACSU officials have held membership meeting at the site to try to improve consultation processes and resolve the dispute. Negotiations are continuing.
