No rest for Debbie Ferguson“I’ve always wanted to become an EN,” Debbie said. Debbie Ferguson is one of those rare people everyone likes. You can’t find anyone who has a bad word to say about her. “A real trooper who gives and gives, and the place will fall apart without her,” Debbie’s workmates say - something the Maranatha management should give some thought too as she leaves. Debbie, who recently qualified as an EN, has been an Administration Assistant at Maranatha for 7 years and has also worked at Tyler Village for a period of 21 years. At Maranatha Debbie coordinates the rosters, does the ordering, is the secretary to the DON, and has done everything else from cooking to caring. And, all of this whilst raising five children. Debbie is now off to work as a community nurse for the Cordwell Independent Nursing Service. How does Debbie manage it all? "Well, it has got increasingly difficult to manage," Debbie says. "But I have a very supportive husband and supportive parents." Just to show that she never rests, Debbie's now studying to get her RN qualification. All HACSU members wish Debbie the very best of luck in her endeavours.
