RED CROSS MEMBERS WIN 9% OVER 12 MONTHS

HACSU members working for the Red Cross Blood Service have won a 9% wage increase, another pace-setting agreement.

The agreement also includes;

• an increase in sick leave from 76 hours per year to 15 days,

• long service leave after 10 years,

• a 19 day month, possibly going to a 9 day fortnight, depending on operational arrangements,

• 5 days paid leave for HACSU delegates.

This agreement is for non-nursing staff. After a 12-month period an agreement will be negotiated with both nursing and non-nursing staff.
