West Coast Health Services back into Public Sector

West Coast Health Services Transfer Negotiations have been concluded and these services are now back in the public sector.

A Memorandum of Understanding [MOU] has been signed by HACSU and the Director of the Department of Health and Human Services and other relevant parties to allow the transfer of employees from the West Coast and Community Services and or the Zeehan Medical Union to the Department of Health and Human Services on the 30 June 2004.

HACSU members were employed in accordance with the Community and Health Services [Public Sector] Awards for nonnursing staff and the Nurses Tasmanian Public Sector award. These awards provide the protection of all accrued entitlements being maintained.

Commencement dates included all prior service, and contract hours were not altered as a result of the change of employment.
