Calvary Members Vote on New EBA


General Staff employed at Calvary Healthcare Tasmania are voting on a new enterprise agreement as Inform goes to press. The agreement contains many benefits for members, with no trade-offs.

Importantly, there is a wage increase of 12% (with 4% effective and back-dated to July 1, this year) over three years, as well as;

  • access to Salary packaging;
  • an increase in the on call allowance to $2.50 per hour;
  • an increase in the number of sick leave days which can be taken without certificate;
  • an increase in the number of sick leave days which can be used for carer's leave to 7 per annum; and,
  • 14 weeks maternity leave.

While some items claimed for were not achieved, the agreement provides members with an improvement in wages and conditions, keeping them in line with other public and private hospital workers.
