Nurses Sub-Branch - Your questions answeredWHAT IS THE NURSE SUB BRANCH? A branch of the Health and Community Services Union (HACSU) just for nurses. The union also has an Ambulance Sub Branch and a Health Professionals Sub Branch. WHO CAN JOIN THE NURSE SUB BRANCH? Every nurse, on joining HACSU, automatically becomes a member of the Nurse Sub Branch. WHAT IS THE NURSE SUB BRANCH EXECUTIVE? The Nurse Sub Branch Executive (NSBE) represents all nurse members of the Nurse Sub Branch. Officers of the NSBE are elected every two years and meet every two months. WHO ARE THE ELECTED OFFICERS? Acute Care WHAT DOES THE SUB BRANCH EXECUTIVE DO? The aim of the NSBE is to further industrial relations objectives and professional development and interests of the Nursing workforce in both government and private employment on Tasmania. WHY SHOULD I GET INVOLVED? This forum provides an avenue for members to raise and discuss issues that affect nurses. It enables nurses to support each other, unite and affect change in the workplace.
