Member Profile: Graeme JonesGraeme is an attendant at the North-West Regional Hospital, Burnie Campus. He has been a HACSU member for 20 years and has recently become involved in the Penguin ‘your rights at work’ campaign committee. The Penguin group has been involved in holding stalls at the Penguin Market, organising a 'your rights at work' float in the Penguin Christmas Parade, helping out at the show and attending various rallies, including those in Launceston. Graeme feels that the new work laws pose a great threat to working people and their families. "In my opinion, it is the biggest issue for the union movement at the moment. If we don't do something about this then it's here to stay. I don't have children of my own but I believe that the next generation are going to be the ones that suffer under these new laws." "I think ordinary workers need to be encouraged to be involved in this campaign. We've got to let the Federal Labor Party know what we want as well."
