DUTIES:

The Health and Community Services Union (HACSU) is one of Tasmania's leading and most progressive unions with over 7,500 members statewide in the public, private and nursing sectors of the health and community services industry.

We are seeking the services of an Industrial Organiser. The position will work across the southern region of the state. The successful applicant will join the HACSU Industrial team and work with members and HACSU Worksite Committees to deal with a range of industrial and worksite issues from individual employment matters through to industrial award matters.

The main functions of the position is to recruit, organise and provide support for HACSU members and to represent members in negotiations with employers and in industrial tribunals. Training and support will be provided to the successful applicant.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate a high level of communication skills, be able to work independently and in a team environment and possess good analytical skills.

Applicants must possess a proven genuine commitment to the ideals and aspirations of the Union movement.

LOCATION: Hobart

SALARY & CONDITIONS: In accordance with the HACSU Officers Agreement and Community and Health Services (Public Sector) Award
