Disability Services Members' Rally for Better Funding. 25 March 2009 [Full Story] ELEVENTH HOUR CONCESSIONS RESULTS IN AGREEMENT BEING RECOMMENDED TO MEMBERS At a meeting between HACSU Officials, the Premier Paul Lennon and the Minister for Health and Human Services David Llewellyn on Friday (14th May 2004) the Government made further concessions on the Ambulance Enterprise Bargaining Agreement. The concessions made by the Government will now result in an agreement that will be put to members in the near future. The final package put to HACSU by the Government has been a long time in coming. The last EBA expired in July 2003 and HACSU has been involved in negotiations with the Government since October 2003 on the current EBA. The first payment of 3.5% or $20 will be paid to employees shortly. This increase will be backdated to the first full pay period on or after 1 January 2004. The Agreement is by far the most comprehensive ever negotiated for public sector members. In addition to the 14% wage increase, a number of important conditions and work related matters have been addressed such as excessive workload, measures to deal with bullying and harassment and change management. 22 April 2004 [Full Story] Retirement Benefit Fund - Elections Close 11 May 2004 Elections are currently being held for a number of independant Director positions on the RBF Board. Each year the ACTU submits a claim for a wage increase for those employees who have not secured an increase through Enterprise Bargaining. The ACTU have claimed $24.60 per week for these employees and this will be arbitrated by the Australian Industrial Relations Commission. Significantly, this year all of the State and Territory Governments, whilst noting the ACTU claim, ask that the Commission grant an increase of $18 per week in the minimum wage and all minimum award rates.
