What are the duties and obligations of the employerAn employer must ensure employees, while at work, are safe from injury and risks to health. In particular, employers must provide and maintain a safe working environment, safe systems of work, and equipment and substances in a safe condition. The employer is also required to provide any information, instruction, training and supervision reasonably necessary to ensure that each employee is safe from injury and risk to health.
If a member identifies a hazard or work practice which they believe may be unsafe they should notify their manager or supervisor immediately. |
